My Story
I was probably the least likely person to fall in love with Scentsy... Candles and smellies were never my thing, I wasn't into any sort of 'knick-knacks' laying around my house. In fact, after we had a big extension done in our old house in 2015 we didn't have a single window ledge in the whole of the downstairs! When I was pregnant with my two boys, any sort if fragrance made me feel so ill - I couldn't even wear deodorant for months after having them!
So... when my friend launched her Scentsy business and was asking if anyone wanted to try it out, I thought I was doing it more as a favour to her and helping her kick start her business than because I wanted to try out all the products...
BOY WAS I WRONG!!!!
As it turns out, she has done me a HUGE FAVOUR!!!! I very quickly loved having gorgeous smelling scents around the house, they made me smile, I felt more relaxed and just generally happy 😊 I found myself getting excited about what scent I was going to put in my warmers next 😆 and FINALLY our house was feeling like the family home I’ve always wanted for us, with our personality injected into it.
I resisted the urge for several weeks, but I couldn’t ignore it any longer, I really felt like I needed to spread the Scentsy love to as many people as I possibly could!
I loved that the wax was being melted, not burnt, so there was no nasty soot, smoke or toxins being released. I loved that there was no naked flame, the wax did not burn when touched & was safe to have on around the kids.
A month after buying my first warmer I signed up - mostly as a way of funding my new ‘Scentsy addiction’. Plus, I may as well get cashback on my purchases & take advantage of the free & half price products. Also, my youngest was starting school & I needed a distraction from ‘losing my baby’.
I didn’t really expect people to buy from me, but wow, I was wrong!
I realised it’s not just me that loves Scentsy - everyone does! In just two months I’d already been promoted TWICE & given a pay rise! I achieved the Scentsational Start Award Level 2, received an exclusive warmer, charm bracelet and over £120 credit in free product!
But the best part about Scentsy - there are no targets or expectations. If you want to aim for a promotion & turn it into a full time job - go for it! But if you want to keep it as a hobby, get paid for having fun & take advantage of the freebies along the way – do it!
I've been a consultant for 4 years now, I have made so many new friends, I have more wax than I know what to do with & I have extra money each month to help pay for the kids clubs & uniform 🙌
